Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting episode of the out-front podcast listen day I am super excited that you will be joining us on today and so today we're going to. Ah, get into this profound concept of doing the work on yourself. What does it truly entail and more importantly, ah, you know what it truly entails and how can it profoundly change our lives for those who are familiar with me. You know it's no secret that I frequently emphasize the importance of putting in the work I firmly believe that true growth and self-development requires effort dedication and willingness to confront our challenges head on. You got to do the work. You know you got to do the work has become somewhat of a mantra for me echoing a sentiment that meaningful progress is an aspect of life necessities, active engagement and commitment. Keep you real the realization of where you are and where you desire to be required work that only you can do only you can do? What must be done to close that gap from where you are.
01:29.66
noblemen
To where you desire to behave, I would tell you that through my own journey and interactions with others I've come to realize that many people may not fully grasp what the work entails. Or where to begin on their path of so of this self-development. It's not enough to simply acknowledge that you know the need for change or improvement. 1 must also have the twos strategies and support system. In place to facilitate their growth so without a clear understanding of what the work looks like and how to approach it individuals may find themselves feeling overwhelmed stuck or unsure. Of how to move forward so considering this ah realization I've come I've become considering this realization I've become increasingly passionate about demystifying the concept of the work. And providing guidance and resources to support others on their journey of personal development whether it's to sharing my own experiences offering practical advice or connecting individuals were relevant to and resources.
03:02.56
noblemen
I strive to empower others to take meaningful steps towards their goals by breaking down the barriers to self-improvement and offering a road map for progress I hope to inspire. That's what I really hope to do I hope to inspire and support others in their pursuit of growth and fulfillment. So today. We certainly have a lot to unpack on this show. So, let's go so today we certainly have a lot to unpack in this episode. So, let's go.
03:42.94
noblemen
Doing the work isn't just a catchphrase. It's a profound commitment to your own evolution. It's about diving deep into the depths of your being confronting your darkest shadows. And embracing the light within. It's a courageous journey of self-reflection self-awareness and Self-love to bring about the healing that is necessary the healing that is necessary to move forward in whatever your endeavors may be. And here here's the thing no matter how old you are or the level of your attainment. There is still some level of work that remains in all of us within the circle of life. You know I've always said that healing. It is a prerequisite. However, it's often continuous and healing is a journey of progress. Not perfection I think I have to say that again healing is a journey of progress. Not Perfection. You know in the in the in the intricate in the intricate tapestry of human existence healing is a thread that weaves its way through the fabric of our lives. It's a journey marked with twist and turns right and so.
05:17.42
noblemen
Progress and setback progress and setback progress and setback. But ultimately, it's a progress guided. But ultimately, it's a prospect but ultimately. It's a process guided by resiliency and perseverance in the intricate in the intricate tapestry in the intricate tapestry of human existence healing is a thread that weaves its way through the fabric of our lives. It is a journey marked with twist and turns progress and setback progress and setback progress and setback. But ultimately it is a process guided by resilience and perseverance. Yes, healing at its core is not about achieving perfection rather it is about embracing the imperfections of our journey and finding growth amidst the challenges there will be challenges. So, the concept of healing as a process acknowledges that it is not a linear path with a clear beginning and an end instead. It is a dynamic journey that Unfolds over time.
06:49.94
noblemen
Shaped by our experience emotions and relationships just as a womb takes time to heal emotional and psychological healing require patience and nurturing. So. 1 of the fundamental aspects of healing is self-compassion. You know this is an area I really must learn on my own for myself that healing is self-compassion it involves. Extending kindness and understanding to ourselves as we navigate the ups and downs of our healing journey. You know often we are often we are our heart often. We are often. We are our hardest critics expecting profession often. We are our hardest critics expecting perfection or instant results again. As I said this is the area that I had to learn. Personally, for myself that we are often our hardest critics expecting perfection or instant results have a true healing requires us to be gentle with ourselves.
08:22.35
noblemen
Acknowledging our progress, no matter how small and accepting the setbacks accepting and accepting that setbacks are a natural part of the process. So, listen today. My brother My sister's setbacks are a natural part of the process I'll say that again and again setbacks are a natural part of the process. However, healing is not a solitary Endeavor. It is deeply intertwined with our connections to others and then whatever those supportive relationships can provide. Whatever they can when they win and whenever they can provide comfort at some time validation and a sense of belonging all of which are essential for healing to occur whether it is. Whether it's the embrace of a loved one. The empathy of a friend or the guidance of a therapist is the supportive of others can help us navigate the complexities of our healing journey.
09:54.98
noblemen
Furthermore, healing is about finding meaningful and purpose in our experience. It involves reflecting on our pain understanding its impact on our lives and using it as a catalyst. For growth and transformation. So other words adversity can be a powerful teacher offering valuable lessons about resilience, empathy and the strength of the human spirit. These are areas that oftentimes we don't deal with first we move from. We try to you know move from one stage of life to the next stage of life without dealing with all our stuff and oftentimes it will. It'll all come crashing down. When we're trying to build and move from one stage of life to the next and we can't quite figure it out because we haven't dealt with all the other stuff prior to moving on. So, embracing the process of healing also requires vulnerability it means allowing ourselves to feel deeply to It's okay to feel emotional and deeply to confront our fears and our insecurities.
11:25.20
noblemen
And to open ourselves back up to the possibilities of change. This vulnerability is not a sign of weakness. It's so me depending on where you come for our most brothers. You know its vulnerabilities is a sign. Of our weakness but the truth is vulnerability is not a sign of weakness but rather a testament to our courage and our willingness to embrace our humanity. That's true so in in in Essence. Healing is this multifaceted journey that encompasses emotional psychological and spiritual growth. It is about finding peace amidst Chaos Strength amidst, vulnerability and growth. Ah, monthst adversity is a process that Unfolds over time shaped by our willingness to embrace imper perfection to cultivate self-compassion to nurture supportive relationships. Finding meaningful finding meaning in our experience and embrace vulnerability as we navigate the twist and turns of our healing journey. Let us remember that is not about reaching some.
13:00.96
noblemen
Exclusive state of perfection but rather about embracing the beauty of our imperfect yet resilient self. It's about honoring the progress as we make and take the steps. Matter how small and we find silence in the knowledge that healing is a journey not a destination. So oftentimes. We don't deal with these sorts of things or come to facing things that we must face as we move from one stage of life to the next. We just try to keep building and keep moving but we would understand that these are areas that we must begin to uncover as we move. But 1 stage or life to the next and that's unearthing our core wounds and traumas as we try to build right? We just been taught keep building keep building. Forget about that stuff stack it away deal with it.
14:28.77
noblemen
Suck it up, but as we try to build these are foundational. You must think about this as something that's foundational. You must deal with to begin to really build the structure that you need to build is stable and sturdy enough. That's resilient enough when winds of adversity begin to blow unearthing. Core rooms and trauma is not a good thing so to truly do the work as I said you got to do the work. You got to do the work this preparing yourself to do the work this is preparing you to do the work to truly do the work. Had to first excavate all the core wounds and traumas and at some point, you must pull out all the hidden bags of triggers. The bags of shit that set you off the emotional shit and the and the. Stuff that kind of make you react in a way that you don't like to react, but you end up reacting anyway, pull it all out pull all pull it all out. You must pull it all out and sit in the discomfort of it.
15:59.79
noblemen
These are the buried treasures of our psyche hidden beneath layers of conditioning and societal expectations and Trump all that stuff take time to explore the origins of your deepest pains. Ah, wounds that still bleed beneath the surface set aside dedicated time each day for introspection journaling meditating and therapy can all be powerful tos. For excavating buried traumas and wounds as we build again. I'll keep referring to what I say at in the beginning you got to do the work. I'm always talking about I mean you got to do the work and the truth is again as I said this is very much a part of doing the work as you begin to build, and you are no longer. Attempt to move from one stage of life to the next stage of life and building without doing the work of dealing with all the underneath stuff before you begin to build.
17:29.57
noblemen
So, you got to set some time you got to set aside some time to really dedicate to dealing with this and sometimes it's reparenting the inner child I found out even I had some pretty good parents. We grew up In. And in the pretty well out middle class neighborhood I Guess I'll fall for what is worth I guess for what worth socioeconomic background or condition it was not. All that bad but in my adult life. There were some things that I discovered that I had to sort of go back and what I would call reparenting the inner child in me. There were some periods in my life where I had to go back and reparent my inner child. So reparenting is that sacred act of nurturing and healing your inner child. The innocent. Wounded aspect of yourself that yarns for love and acceptance whatever that may be. It's about becoming you know that loving parent. You may have or may not have had or offering yourself a compassion.
19:00.80
noblemen
And tenderness that you felt you deserve so create a daily self-care ritual for nourishing your inner child at times this could include affirmations visualization exercises or simply speaking to yourself. Kindness and gentleness whatever that may be. This is a part of doing the work and it leads to transforming relationships through your healing. All relationships personal business. Whatever that relationship is it all just doing this type of work all impacts in a very positive way as you transform relationships through your healing. And understand this many of us never get there So This may be a conversation that many individuals are quite not used to having you transforming through that level of healing. As we do the work on ourselves. Our relationships naturally begin to transform you know they no longer. Are you know, no longer are we bound by old patterns of co-dependencies or seeking validation from others instead.
20:32.61
noblemen
We Cultivate relationships based on Authenticity Mutual respect and unconditional. Love. So, practice self so practice setting healthy boundaries in your relationships. And communicating your needs acceptability practice setting healthy boundaries in your relationships and communicate your needs assertively and you surround yourself with individuals who honor. Your journey of healing and support your growth you see when we set healthy boundaries are simply to keep things out but rather. Boundaries are not simply to keep things out but rather to protect what's on the inside that the inside work that you must do the inside where you do must. Be protected at all costs the inside work that you do must be protected at all costs and you do that by setting boundaries and oftentimes the.
22:04.10
noblemen
Boundaries that you set is to protect. What's on the inside.
22:17.92
noblemen
Um, doing the work is not a destination. It's a life learned journey of Self-discovery and self-actualization. It's about embracing. It's about embracing the full spectrum. Who you are. The light and the shadow and integrating all aspects of ourselves with love and Acceptance. So, I say commit to ongoing self-exploration and growth seek out books and workshops. And communities that resonate with your journey of healing and transformation and remember you are worthy of the deepest love and the highest potential. So, listen, thank you all for joining me today. So, listen. Thank you all for joining me on this transformation Journey of Self-discovery Remember the power of change lies within you until next time keep doing the work and shining your light in the world.

00:01.59
Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting episode of the out-front podcast I am your host Vince Noble. So, listen I've been saying that the first half of this year we would bring to you. Topics that I truly believe will grab hold of you in a way that will continue to empower you and inspire you to take charge of your life propelling you. To the next level like rocket field in 2024 and so I don't care who you are. There should always be a next level of something in your life. Another dimension of living. I don't care what your grade age or stage is in life. There should be something that you are ambitious enough about to take your life to the next level. So, I believe that. The first six months of this year as we've been saying will be a tremendous amount of value to many of you that listen to um, you know our podcast on a weekly basis because I believe the moment you decide.
01:33.32
That living your life on one level is no longer good enough. You've already began to spark the desire to change, and I would tell you that there is often so much generational trauma to contend with. And so, our capacity to mold and transform our reality is primarily constrained by the subconscious barriers we erect within ourselves. Why is this the case I believe it for the most part. It's often because our negative outlook is rooted in experiences of trauma and abuse and so many of us have yet to fully comprehend. Articulate and transcend these painful events and so we tend to normalize our stress responses and without addressing the underlying issue. We remain stuck unable. Progress and so you must be willing to do all the inner work. First that's right in large part. It's the inside game. So today. We're going to explore.
03:05.91
Some key concepts of unleashing your manifesting power now wait a minute I understand that oftentimes when it is mentioning manifesting or. Manifesting abilities. Most people tend to back away because I believe that this concept or this thing or this theory of manifesting has been somewhat underrepresented if you will. But we're not just going to talk about it as far off, but we're not just going to talk about it as a far-off mystical idea. We're going to discuss how manifesting is a way of life and how you can take real actionable steps. To make it work for you. So, grab a pen in the pad because we're diving deep into the art of manifesting in today's show let's go so let's kick off. You know this journey by dispelling a common. Misconception of about manifesting is it. It isn't manifesting isn't some mystical concept reserve for a select few but it is a potent tool accessible.
04:36.95
Anyone willing to tap into its power and so I'm not just preaching theory here I'm speaking from lived experience manifesting is about aligning your thoughts actions and energy with your desires to bring into. Reality manifesting is about aligning your thoughts actions and energy with your desires to bring them into Reality. It's about more than wishful thinking. It's about deliberate intention and unwavering belief. And your ability to shape your reality and so the cornerstone of manifesting lies in a fundamental mindset Shift. You must be willing to do a mindset Shift. You must move from a fixed Fix. You must Move. Ah, you must move away from a fixed mindset which limits your potential and embrace a growth Mindset. You see a growth mindset. Thrives on continuous learning resilience and the belief that your abilities can be developed through dedication and effort this shift in Mindset sets the stage for manifesting success.
06:12.63
And so, the first requirement I believe and entering this area of manifesting in your life number one is self-awareness see Self-awareness is the bedrock upon which. Manifesting stance its stands on your self-awareness of who you are. It's understanding your strengths your weaknesses and aspirations. That's that crucial and so. Take time to you know I would say take time I would say take the time to really clarify first and foremost your goals write them down number one write them down. Be concise and be specific and then chart a course towards their attainment. Yes, take the time to clarify your goals write them down. Be concise and specific and chart a course towards their attainment. You see this self-awareness provides the foundation it provides.
07:42.58
It provides the foundation manifesting. It provides the foundation of your manifesting journey guiding. It provides the foundation of your manifesting journey guiding you towards a life aligned with you. Deepest desires. So, take the time to reflect on what you write start today write it down. What are your desires and then over the course of the next few days take time to really begin. To reflect every one of us should take time throughout the course of our day to reflect doesn't matter who you are it doesn't matter how accomplished you may think you are we should all. Spending a certain portion of our day reflecting. So, I encourage you take the time to reflect on what you write. Become intimately as 1 mind body and soul with what it is you write, and you desire, and you manifest that's the foundation of your manifesting journey and so have the.
09:14.13
Courage to dream big take the breaks off when you're when you're writing down your desires and you reflecting on no desires take the breaks off. Don't hold back dream big. You see have you ever followed someone uphill with their brakes on you following you're driving along and you following someone uphill with their brakes on and it's apparently nothing visibly in front of them, yet they are driving uphill. With their breaks on. So, I tell you today take the brakes off dream big and set your sights on the life you envision for yourself. You see the question is. What do you see yourself? What do you see for yourself. You must dare to believe, and you own it when you dare enough to believe it then you own it you see manifesting is about. Tapping into the boundless power of your imagination and daring to dream beyond the confines of your current reality I have to say that again you see manifesting.
10:45.21
Is about tapping into the boundless power of your imagination and daring and daring to dream beyond the confines of your current reality beyond what you're seeing. Beyond any negativity you may be encountering beyond the often-negative self-take beyond any of that you have to dare to go beyond that so take the breaks off. And again, write down your goals craft a vivid vision of success. What does that? What does it look like you're you know what it looks like step by step by step be very specific and when you do that. It's. It will ignite the flames of ambition within you. You see some of us we have been so conditioned with the world. We have allowed our ambitions to be very low. We're living a life with very low ambition. So, I'll say to you today ignite reignite the flames of ambition within you and remember no dream is too grand when Feud with when Feud remember.
12:18.85
No Dream is too grand when fueled by unwavering determination and a clear road map to guide your steps. It is crucial to move past the restrictive Beliefs The pessimistic. Viewpoints and critical inner Dialogue oftentimes. It's our own critical inner dialogue that's holding us back that often plague our thought life our tendencies to. Dwell on with past negative experiences and people can significantly hinder our progress towards our objectives see these mental barriers can distort our perceptions. Of our abilities and potential leading us to underestimate what we are truly capable of Achieving. So, I say to you my friend to unlock our full Potential. We must actively. Challenge and reframe the limiting narratives. We hold about ourselves by recognizing that These beliefs are not inherent truths but rather subjective interpretations.
13:50.80
Of past events we can begin to question and modify our thought patterns shifting our focus from what has gone wrong to what we can do right? and so now. To create a positive change is essential for personal growth and accomplishment I can't believe you how many times I share this with people across this nation with people across the world and they say Vance I never. And never heard this before I never had anyone spend time with me making this clear to me. It's been me. It's been me allowing my negative. Experiences to get in a way to cloud my perceptions about what I'm truly capable of doing. It's been me. You see self-awareness plays a pivotal role in overcoming the self-imposed constraints of our mindsets by cultivating a deeper understanding of where our negative.
15:23.82
Beliefs originate in how they affect our behavior. We can start to dismantle them. Yes, we can begin to dismantle them replacing self- doubt with self-compassion and negative Self-ta. With affirmations that emphasize our strength and resilience can lay the groundwork for a more optimistic and proactive approach to our life see no one would argue with me today. This is needed or this conversation is needed by so many I don't care where you are you must be able to get to a point where you understand this. And so, another key aspect of transcending these mental hurdles is embracing as I previously said a growth mindset. This this perspective encourages us to view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow rather than in or an insurmountable rather than insurmountable.
16:52.57
Another key aspect of transcending these mental hurdles is embracing as I previously said a growth mindset this perspective encourages us to view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. Rather than insurmountable obstacles. It teaches us to appreciate the journey of self-improvement. To persist in the face of setbacks and to see failure. Not as a reflection of our worth., But as a natural step in the learning process. Ultimately. Changing the way, we think about ourselves, and our experiences is an ongoing process that requires patience and persistence involves consistently practicing Mindfulness. Challenge Our negative thoughts and seeking out experienced mentors along the way. Yes, and so empowering these new.
18:22.80
Beliefs We can do this by doing so you see it involves consistently practicing Mindfulness Channel It involves consistently practicing. Mindfulness challenging our negative thoughts and seeking out experience that reinforce our new empowering beliefs by doing so we can break free from the patterns that keep us. From achieving our goals and create a life that reflects our chew capabilities and desires. Yes, and so make no mistake about it Manifesting is. Make no mistake about it Manifesting isn't a passive endeavor it demands unwavering commitment and consistent Action. You see the Universe rewards. Those who take deliberate steps towards they goes did you know that I believe in all my heart that the universe reward those who take deliberate steps who overcome who remain resilient who.
19:57.26
Who defeat all the negative self-talk the universe rewards those who take deliberate steps towards their goals. They stay focused take consistent action. And embrace the journey with unyielding determination. There are no shortcuts on the path. There are no shortcuts on the path to manifesting success but with patience and dedication. You can turn your dreams into tangible. Realities yes, challenges are challenges and setbacks are inevitable. It's going to happen so on this road to manifesting success. However, I tell you it is crucial to adopt. A mindset that views obstacles as opportunities for growth. So, embrace it embrace a no excuse attitude today embrace a no excuse attitude today embrace. a no excuse attitude today. embrace a no excuse attitude today it boils down to how bad do you want it? are you willing to let it go.
21:31.31
When it doesn't look like it's going to work out or you would' to let it go when it looks like it's not going to happen what type of excuses. Do you have or will you embrace a no excuse attitude when it doesn't look good. That every setback propels you forward rather than hold you back and again seek out mentors and supportive communities to guide you through challenges and bolster your resilience on the path to manifesting. Greatness, see I want a link up for you I know that someone listened to this podcast today saying I've been trying to link up with someone I've been linking up with people before and when it gets bad for me. They break away. Yeah, we out front connect with us bolster your resilience on the path to manifesting your greatness you see believe in yourself. Believe. In you and your ability to shape your reality to whatever you wanted to be see manifest and is rooted again. An unwavering self-belief and trust in you in it. Potential.

Hello everyone and welcome to the out-front podcast I am your host Vince Noble, hey listen today I want to dive into a topic that I believe separates the real warriors. From the wishful thinkers. You know so much needs to be said in our society today about staying focused I mean it's like staying laser focused and committed. To the things you should be committed to or focused on amidst the chaos and distractions in our world today. You know a lot of people say to me Vince man I'm having a tough time I'm having a hard time. Ah, staying focused I having a hard time sleeping at night I can't focus the way I should and these doctors you know these doctors you know all they do is recommend some sort of medication. There has to be a better prescription. You know, then the mads and so I would say first you know this year in 2024 um, and none of that new year motivational stuff were really stick and work.
01:29.67
noblemen
I would say beyond the spring if you had a hard time focusing and staying motivated in a way. Um, you know this 2024 New Year knew you. Motivational stuff probably won't even work for you. You won't be able to sustain that that's a fact so the first thing I would say to you know this year whatever you should be or thinking about focus on or whatever you set. At the beginning of year that you want to accomplish just stop talking about it. Don't even say what you're going to do just get in a mode just get in the mode of just doing it just doing the thing that you know you should be doing start out doing that. And then you prove it not only to everyone else you prove it to yourself. You prove that you are willing to get there by doing the necessary work. That's right? No, no sugar coating here. Folks. You know there's a there's a bit of shift here on the out front for the rest of the year actually - that there will be a little bit of a shift here. So, get ready for some raw uncut truth. That's right, get ready for some raw.
03:00.88
noblemen
Uncut Truth we have a lot to unpack in this episode. So, let's go what's up. Our front nation. Can you handle me being as I said in the beginning can you handle me being. A little rough around the edges today can we get real today. No matter who you are life throw distractions at us left and right but if you're serious about crushing your goals. This year you've got to be ruthless in your focus. So today I'm hitting you with 5 harsh no-nonsense steps to keep your eyes on the prize to help you follow 1 course until success. That's right, follow 1 course until successful as focus. So, you know when I think about being focused, I am often when I think about focus, I think about being. Hyper focus and you know that hyper focus is a term often used to describe an intense state or concentration of focus on a particular task or subject for an extended period.
04:34.72
noblemen
When someone is experiencing hyperfocus they are able to block out distractions and become deeply absorbed in what they are doing often to the exclusion of other tasks. Delma or even the most important people that's right, that's right other people you see this state of heightened attention can lead to increased productivity. And the ability to accomplish a great deal within a relatively short period of time so number one I would say to you slash and burn those to do list that you did at the beginning of the year just slash and burn them because we are getting ready. early this year for some spring cleanup. We're doing some serious spring cleanup on that to do list to start with no more fluff. No more time-wasting tasks. So just slash and burn. Everything. That doesn't contribute directly to the goals in which you said you wanted to accomplish this year if it's not pushing you forward. It's holding you back. So, it's time to be brutally honest about.
06:03.50
noblemen
Where your time is going where are you allocating your time. What are you still wasting your time On. Let's be honest and you start being honest with yourself. What are you still allocating your time to that doesn't. Support your goals because again, if it's if it's not pushing you forward. It's holding you Back. So, I need you to seriously think about. The things you're still wasting your time on that that the things that that that you're still giving your attention to so you're still wasting your time on that thing that don't even support your goals are they habits. But what activities are you doing or are the man-made intentional distractions that consistently pull your way from what you truly want to achieve you see my friend most distractions. Are intentional. They serve an intended purpose. They are very intentional to pull your way. So why aren't you more intentional. Why aren't you more intentional with the thing that you want to accomplish in your own life. You see. It's crucial.
07:32.76
noblemen
For you to identify time wasting elements and take proactive steps to minimize or eliminate them from your life whether it's excessive social media just scrolling around on the internet YouTube procrastination. Or engaging in unproductive conversations with other folks that doesn't really amount to anything come on God we got to be honest with ourselves this year so recognizing these time sinks is the first step towards regaining control. Over your focus and your energy are you willing to do that because if you're not willing to do that. You're not taking the necessary first steps towards regaining control over your focus and your energy by consciously. Reallocating your time and attention to activities that align with your goals see. It's about alignment most of the time we're just out of alignment and we don't even have a clue so by consciously now reallocating your time. And attention to activities that align with your goals. There has to align with your goals until you do that you can't pave the way for greater productivity and progress.
09:09.63
noblemen
Ah, fact, remember your time is valuable and oftentimes you have to train other people in a way How to value your time. Your time is valuable so we should use it wisely to support our aspirations in a way and our ambitions. You know that's not that's not being selfish, but you don't. Waste anyone's time and you won't allow your time to be wasted with things that really don't amount to anything and those things that take you further and further and further away to that which you said you want to Accomplish. You see your time is one of those commodities. You'll never get back once. It's Gone. You never get it back number 2 It's time to go on a distraction diet. That's what I call a distraction Diet. So. You know we're surrounded by a world designed to grab our attention and to keep our attention if it can so again like I said social media and you know these individuals they refer to them say of as.
10:38.80
noblemen
Social media influencers. What are you influencing? What? What do you line it up with to influence you to do? What is it is it consistent with what you're trying to accomplish or is it just in it. A distraction. So. So you know this around the clock smartphone notifications and beeps and bells, and all these things are going in the middle of night. There are distractions that that chatty co-worker who's into everything. And they want to share it with you. That's a distraction that's the distraction and the truth is you made yourself available and other people know. That you always make yourself Available. You made yourself available and it's time to put other folks on notice that you're on a distraction Diet. So, limit your stream time turn it off. You know. No none of those non-essential notifications turn it off and then you start with setting clear boundaries with yourself. It starts setting those boundaries with yourself and then you set clear boundaries.
12:07.41
noblemen
But all those other energy vipers in your life. That's right, they are energy vipers. You know some, you've been trying to figure out it will at the end of the day you feel so depleted. Well, the fact out is because of those distractions. Statues will deplete you they will deplete your energy and you don't have enough energy to focus on the things that you really want to focus on energy vipers in your life. You can't afford distractions any longer. That's a fact you can't afford distractions any longer because time is running out time is running out and these energy vipers are steal in your dreams. They are still in your dreams right in front of your eyes. You can't even figure it out. But guess what today the day is you figured it out. The energy vipers are still in your dreams right in front of your eyes. Number 3 it calls for a brutal self-audit that you got to be willing do a brutal self-audit. You know it's time for a brutal self-audit.
13:40.78
noblemen
Look at yourself in the mirror I've been through it look at yourself in the mirror and ask the tough questions are you really putting in the work. Are you just pretending. Are you a real contender or are you a pretender for your dreams. Are you making excuses or are you making progress. Be honest with yourself. You got to be honest with yourself and this year if you've never done it before it starts this year look in the mirror and ask yourself. Are you a real contender or a pretender for your dreams. It starts with you because until you do that. You start making all sorts of excuses because certain things are not happening the way they are not happening. You see you can either. You can either have excuses or you can have results, but you don't keep you don't get to keep both. You can either have excuses or you can have results, but you don't get to keep both. Are you a real contender or pretender of your dreams are you making excuses.
15:08.24
noblemen
Are you making real progress. It's time to cut through the self-deception you a deceiver of yourself and today is time to cut through the self-deception. No more lies. No more games. It's your future on the line. We can have all the excuses in the world. But your future is on the line. And when you act like your life is on the line, I can't tell you how many times I've been there when you act like your life is on the line an unparalleled sense of determination takes over. Ah, can't tell you how many times I've been there suddenly every obstacle every distraction and every excuse fades into insignificance and you start to say to yourself. This Bs right here this bull crap where here that you're talking about is meaningless I got more important things to spend my time with.
16:39.20
noblemen
Your goals become non-negotiable and it's not just in your words. It's in your action and everyone around you start to pick up on it that you no longer make yourself available. That people no longer can use you as a dumping ground with their distractions your actions not just your words and nothing can stand in the way of your relentless pursuit of them. Each moment is infused with. A sense of urgency propelling you to take bold decisive actions towards your goal you operate different, and everyone begins to know it. Yeah, something different something different is happening. And it and they don't just start paying attention to what you say they start paying attention to how you move in how you nab you move in different this year you operate with unwavering focus channeling all your energy into the realization. Your aspirations. Everybody starts to see that as you embrace this mindset you become unstoppable forging ahead. An unparalleled drive and conviction.
18:08.15
noblemen
Towards your goals. That's it that is it and you don't get there with the excuses and you don't get there. By making yourself available to those energy vipers’ number 4 it's to commit. You must do the work. You got to commit to doing the work. You must be committed to. To form in new habits. That's realigning you to your goals your dreams and your ambitions you got to form new patterns of thinking new habits and you don't you get there by putting in the reps. You get there by doing the lapse you get there by getting me in early hitting the gym that's in the physical and mentally mental perspective right? that that's getting the cardio in folks achieving your goals. It's a marathon. Not a sprint you won't get you won't get there overnight but it's a marathon one step at a time one block at a time one mile at a time It's not a sprint you got to.
19:36.50
noblemen
Build that commitment muscle and the truth of it is the truth of it is you got to build that commitment muscle and it is a muscle most of you Never really had let's be honest.
19:57.21
noblemen
Consistency is your secret weapon. Let's be consistent. Some Dave you're not going to feel like it. You're not going to want to do it, but you do it anyway, you do it anyway. That's why we call it discipline and you never get to anything consistent with consistency without any discipline. But that's the part of the process. No more starting and stopping starting and stopping. You know there's some folks I know without any judgment I love them the same but they always starting and stopping starting and stopping. Whole life. There's a pattern of starting and stopping starting and stop getting a little bit tough a stop starting and stopping they always into something new yet never completing anything. No more starting and stopping. Lace up those commitment sneakers. They lace up those commitment sneakers not Nikes lace up those commitment sneakers and get ready to run get ready to run those marathons 1 step 1 block one mile at a time. That's how you get there.
21:23.98
noblemen
And then there may be some extra training miles in there. But guess what the blessing is always in the extra mouth. So, success favors persistence. Success favors persistence you got to be persistent because success will always favor the persistent not the quitters. Number five, last but not least it's time to make some hard choices I've been there, and the truth be told I'm still making the source of heart. Prioritization choices to this day but it's time to make some painful prioritization. Sometimes that's ah, that's a hard choice but you must decide. What's more important your dreams or the temporary comfort of procrastination your dreams or the history you have with the same few people when you really pay attention. They have been the energy vipers in your life.
22:53.24
noblemen
What's more important your dreams or the energy of vipers that you've been allocating all of your time to.
23:11.56
noblemen
That's contributing to the reason why you are that's contributing to where you are today or part of that you see if it doesn't align with your goals. It's a destruction cut it loose even if it hurts even if you have an history with someone. It doesn't mean you don't you don't love you loved them many differently that means is that for this period. We may not be spending as much time with one another cut it lose even if it hurts but you've got to be willing to make sacrifices for your life if you want it, you got to be willing to make sacrifices for your life. If you want it see some of you've been making the energy vipers a priority in your life. Can I tell you this. Unless something changes some of you got to realize that you are sleeping right next to an energy viper.
24:36.26
noblemen
I Know that's a hard one. But as I said before what's more important choice is yours so there you have it out front some harsh. Unapologetic steps to keep your focus sharp and your commitment unbreakable because life is too short for halfhearted efforts if you want it then you got to go get it thanks for hanging out with me. You know and it's been great. Thanks for hanging out with me on this episode at out front until next time stay focused stay committed and stay unfiltered out front!

Yvette Kendall
Well like you just mentioned I am from excuse me I am from the south side of Chicago wanting raised and I used to be a product developer I used to file patents to create things and.
02:35.37
noblemen
Okay.
02:47.38
Yvette Kendall
Foul patents and I really noticed that it wasn't a lot of black women in technology so they kind of started me on the path that I'm on today and after I decided to walk away from technology a little bit I wound up getting this story ah in my head and. I thought it was great and I started to share with other people and I say hey you need to you need to write that ah never written a thing in my life and I was terrified to write the story down and write a book I had no knowledge of how to do any of that. But god kept giving me the story parts of it every day.
03:10.10
noblemen
Oh.
03:27.16
Yvette Kendall
And it felt like it was meant for me to do and I just I just did it with the lack of my knowledge of what to do once. The story was completed I just did it and you know, kind of here we are today.
03:40.60
noblemen
That's that's certainly wonderful one. So being that you say you from the south side of Chicago you know hey we have a little bit in common a born and born and raised on the South Side Chicago myself as well. So so.
03:54.96
Yvette Kendall
Oh ah, yes yes.
03:55.24
noblemen
Ah, and another Chicago one. Yes, so I I attended um, Curie metropolitan high school I'll know if you're familiar with that.
04:03.32
Yvette Kendall
I am familiar with Curie I my first year of high school I went to Kenwood. So oh yeah, but.
04:07.91
noblemen
Okay, yeah, okay, so listed you know I respectfully say you know so that there are some exotic ways of of spelling name there on the shelf size Chicago so you your your. Proper pronunciation of your name is e that correct Eva yes, ok, certainly all right? So so y that um what what inspired you you know to to author books and more specifically sci-fi you know there's.
04:24.81
Yvette Kendall
It is Yvette. Yes,
04:40.16
noblemen
That's not a great deal of African American women in that particular space.
04:44.71
Yvette Kendall
Yeah, well, you know what? Ah like I was just saying growing up in um, growing up in high park. Um, my mother was a psychiatric nurse. And I would get out of school at three o'clock and her hospital was right across the street from my school so I used to go to her job after I got off. Ah after I got out of school and she didn't get off of work till about think four thirty or 5 and I would have to spend the day on the psychiatric floor.
05:12.89
noblemen
Ah.
05:17.29
Yvette Kendall
Ah, and just kind of do art and things like that until she got off of work and at some point I got tired of doing that so she was dating a man that worked at a bookstore and at the University Of Chicago and she said hey if you don't want to come over here. Go you know, walk over there and you know hang out with him in the bookstore. So ah, this one particular day I was walking to the University Of Chicago's bookstore and I got to the the University Of Chicago and they had a courtyard and he had these huge medieval doors that opened up to this beautiful courtyard.
05:37.37
noblemen
O.
05:54.91
Yvette Kendall
And I just wandered in and when I wandered in I went through the halls and I got to a classroom that was empty. Of course it was after school and um, it was a man there ah wearing a white lab coat and he was um. Doing something in this classroom. So I kind of dipped my head in he saw me and I kind of dip back Out. He says no no come on in and I walked in he said let me show you something and he put ah he blew up a balloon and he put it in a container with dry ice and. I Saw this balloon collapse right in front of my eyes and then he pulled it back out and it reinflated I was Hooked. It was like is nothing else better than whatever it was. He showed me. It was just it was science.
06:33.18
noblemen
A.
06:46.34
noblemen
Alright.
06:49.11
Yvette Kendall
I Grew up ah with my father watching Star Trek So it was just like always around me one way or another so when I got older. Of course you know taking science in high school and doing ah you know all these little functions where it was science involved.
06:51.34
noblemen
I.
07:08.18
Yvette Kendall
So after I got older and I got into doing um patents and and products and things like that which is of course very science adjacent I got the story and like I said it really sci-fi is the flip Side. Of Science is just it's the same coin just a different side. So Um I Just you know decided to go into the to the literary aspect of it and start writing and I started writing in 2018 and like um.
07:27.65
noblemen
Ray.
07:41.79
noblemen
In me.
07:46.11
Yvette Kendall
The middle of 2018 so january two thousand and nineteen I was done with the book. It took me six months to write it and got it published and a year after it was published I was contacted on linkedin and. By the executive producer of lovecraft country. Ah and he offered me a tv series for the got maps. So yeah, so from there I just kept writing so I have a love for sci-fi I have a love for horror and I just.
08:04.27
noblemen
Oh.
08:12.25
noblemen
That's awesome.
08:20.29

08:44.18
noblemen
Right? That's Wonderful. So So along with that. Would you say your your discovery of that did you did you always have this ambition but but never kind of you know, pulled the trigger on writing. Was was it always your ambition to become a publish author.
09:04.43
Yvette Kendall
No I didn't even know that I I didn't know what I didn't know I when I grew up I was really good with I used to win spelling contests and I used to win poetry contests because I loved Langston Hughes
09:09.24
noblemen
Right? right.
09:20.68
noblemen
I.
09:22.81
Yvette Kendall
And always want to write like Langston Hughes and I would win all these little writing contests. But I thought it was just something you did when you were in school you just I didn't I didn't think it was an aspiration someone like myself could have. Ah, so you're talking to someone you know I have a high school Diploma I've never been to college a day in my life. So when you start saying things when you start saying things like become an author or become a writer and when you do not have that education. You just don't think that's something that's optional.

They just assume because I was African-American and female that I would not be able to have this type of knowledge. So I ran into it not only on the side of African Americans But when I started going you know getting East doors with these big companies that were.
12:09.67
noblemen
M.
12:17.86
Yvette Kendall
White ran they were you know they had the same questions. How did you do this and how did you figure this out we we couldn't figure this out. How did you figure it out So I would I was a little confused like is this because I'm female and I'm black that.
12:23.21
noblemen
Um, ride.
12:36.34
Yvette Kendall
This should not be open to me so I that was that was one of the catalysts and the other thing was every time I went to find someone to work with me in moving my innovations along they were They were not female.
12:36.61
noblemen
On.
12:54.80
noblemen
Right.
12:55.40
Yvette Kendall
Or they were not black so it kind of made me feel like this is an industry that is untapped to female black ah innovators. So that's where Fbi rocks came from.
13:08.34
noblemen
Right? You kind of alluded a little bit to that. But in terms of you know, scaling this sort of business or or funding many of your initiatives. What what have you found most difficult in this space.
13:24.33
Yvette Kendall
Ah, funding is definite funding is well. You know what it goes back to belief. Oh if black people don't believe you'll be successful. Well though, that's your grassroots If you're black.
13:28.80
noblemen
No.
13:33.81
noblemen
Right? m.
13:40.60
Yvette Kendall
Your grassroots are generally going to be the people that live around you and look like you. So if they don't believe you you can't get what you need in order to take this product and bring it to fruition. So that's 1 thing and then when you.
13:52.37
noblemen
M.
13:58.92
Yvette Kendall
Are talking people that are not ah you know of other persuasions is filled with the I don't if I give you money How do I know that you're going to handle it properly. How do I know that there's going to be a return. So then you have resistance.
14:01.65
noblemen
No.
14:16.17
Yvette Kendall
On their end because of their fear so you have a lack of belief and then you have fear which means things are stagnant unless you have your own you know your own money to push your part forward.
14:16.89
noblemen
Right.
14:28.88
noblemen
Right? right? right? right? So on your own capital so that kind of leads me to saying So so what insights would you say? um, you know that you would share with with those seeking to start a business venture without heavy outside investors.
14:45.60
Yvette Kendall
You know you have to get around ah like minded people and you have to get around people that believe in your cause and believe it believe in it to the point that they take it personal. You know so because other than that it's just you pushing this bolder uphill and even.
14:46.48
noblemen
M.
14:55.17
noblemen
All right.
15:02.35
noblemen
Um.
15:02.64
Yvette Kendall
Get it uphill once you get to that Plateau You realize there are several more Hills you need to climb. So if you don't have a team if you don't have people that believe in you and are like minded and want to work with you and see you successful.
15:07.66
noblemen
Right? absolutely.
15:19.30
Yvette Kendall
Is's just Iss really a hard go at it and that was really one of the one of the reasons why I left during innovation one was it was so hard to find a capital and I had used up all of my own personal funds to drive. You know these ideas. But then the other thing is the lack of protection from the Us patent office especially with with companies that want to you know to take your patent that have the money to do so there's just a lack of protection. Ah.
15:39.20
noblemen
M.
15:52.20
Yvette Kendall
Via the government with patents so it was just something you darned if you do you darned if you don't kind of think.
15:57.51
noblemen
Right? right? right? So that I have to ask you know coming out of this I would say post Pandemic lockdown at least um the effects of the lockdown and social distancing and all of that you know how are you doing and more specifically. You know you know how are you you know dealing with it now in your business marketing your books or just in your personal life.
16:21.24
Yvette Kendall
This pandemic borrowing that people have died and have suffered was the best thing that could have ever happened to me I am I'm an Introvert so I was I was already not. Going outside and hanging out with people so it's like my life didn't change in that aspect. But what did change there. There started to be excess funding made available. So I could sow into and grow my business.
16:38.78
noblemen
You don't know.
16:53.19
noblemen
No.
16:55.90
Yvette Kendall
And because I own a publishing company. Ah and it can be in a virtual space. You can reach around the world and not having leave you know, leave your your computer.
16:57.78
noblemen
I.
17:10.60
noblemen
A.
17:12.77
Yvette Kendall
My business actually grew in that aspect and then you have all this downtime where people that always wanted to write something or they were writing something they weren't complete. Um they had time to finish and say hey you know can I publish with you or can you teach me.
17:22.56
noblemen
Oh.
17:31.16
Yvette Kendall
This or that so there were a lot of opportunities because people were settled people were kind of stuck with themselves and they had to figure out how to move to the next thing without going outside and without being around a group of people. So um, it did like say it it accentuated.
17:34.96
noblemen
Right.
17:44.24
noblemen
More.
17:50.86
Yvette Kendall
My situation ah very much. So.
17:54.23
noblemen
Wow, That's good so that you know let's get into the book a little bit more so to tell us about you know what was your inspiration for writing a book. The the God maps.
18:06.19
Yvette Kendall
You know it's funny because there were literally I said to myself I do not want to do product development anymore I don't want to file not another patent I don't want to do anything with the patent office and I said I'm just gonna not do it anymore. And when I said that it was almost like like God was waiting on me to say Okay, you sure you're done okay got nothing else for you. So I was walking through my living room and his story fell in my head and I'll say well this is this is cool.
18:33.64
noblemen
Yeah, or I right.
18:44.48
Yvette Kendall
And I've never heard of this concept before and I just ah sat down and started writing and I wrote the first 12 pages and that's when I started to share it with some close friends and family and they was like we think you have something here. You just need to you need to finish it and that's.
18:58.62
noblemen
Right.
19:01.89
Yvette Kendall
Kind of what happened so it really was not ah it. It was a flash of inspiration. Ah, but it wasn't generated by me seeing something or hearing something or seeing a picture. It was really it got speaks to me through innovation.
19:18.90
noblemen
Right? So so having said that in writing this book and in other books you've written what what would you say is your single greatest mistake in writing ah publishing or even marketing your books.
19:19.12
Yvette Kendall
And this is him having a conversation with me.
19:36.30
noblemen
And what did it teach you.
19:38.40
Yvette Kendall
Oh my gosh. What was my biggest mistake in my biggest mistake in writing is sharing my writings with other people. Ah because other people.
19:54.52
Yvette Kendall
Like to see themselves in other's works and you get a lot of what you should do what you need to do and I always tell people if you feel so strongly strongly about something then you should write your own book.
19:59.61
noblemen
Um.
20:01.94
noblemen
Right? right? right.
20:09.21
noblemen
M.
20:11.62
Yvette Kendall
Should never alter. Now you people giving you advice on. Oh you, you know this may be helpful is 1 thing versus people saying hey I I want you just to do this. So my my biggest thing is. Sharing the information and having to tell these people I'm not gonna listen to and a word that you say so and it still is still something I struggle with because you get excited when you know you've done something great and you want to share it but but people being what they are um.
20:35.44
noblemen
Mm.
20:47.97
Yvette Kendall
Kind of can ruin it or even take you down a path that you're not supposed to go if you if you listen to everything people say so um, but as far as publishing. Um my biggest problem and I think is a.
20:54.56
noblemen
Alright.
21:06.58
Yvette Kendall
Think is a global problem finding the right people to do the job and and be people of their word and you know once they're paid for a position they do that position you you you bump into a lot of people that. Just want to you know they just want to get paid but they don't want to do the work So find people that are they have a track record that are credible and disclosure is everything don't just people understand what you mean don't assume that they understand what you're talking about.
21:28.94
noblemen
Ah.
21:35.47
noblemen
Right.
21:42.16
Yvette Kendall
You know, talk to people or explain things like people to people like it's the first time they've heard it and that way you can get a better understanding and contracts good contracts make good situations I can't say that don't do a handshake. Don't do a verbal.
21:50.10
noblemen
Oh.
22:00.54
Yvette Kendall
Everything has to be spelled out and the one don't put in your contract that not that's not spelled out I'll be darned if that's not the 1 thing they go do um.
22:02.85
noblemen
Marai.
22:10.16
noblemen
You're right here I right right? So so what would you say you know sort of looking back. Um, what? what was what was the single attribute growing up in your past that you think sort of.
22:14.90
Yvette Kendall
Um, yeah.
22:27.77
noblemen
You know, prepared you in a way to become this offer that you are today and business owner.
22:35.54
Yvette Kendall
Ah I guess struggle I left home early I didn't have a close relationship with my ah my parents I mean you know we didn't talk very much and I was really.
22:50.40
Yvette Kendall
Go and figure it out for yourself and I think it prepared me for dealing with people. It prepared me for being let down it prepared me for having to um you know, rotate swiftly when things are going left.
22:51.30
noblemen
M.
23:09.22
Yvette Kendall
I think being independent and being independent early gave a a um ah a thickness to my skin that I probably wouldn't not have had had I had parents that were really involved and helped me along with everything it just I was really.
23:11.29
noblemen
Oh.
23:28.00
Yvette Kendall
And I say that having a 21 year old daughter that I did help her along and I did make sure she was protected and things like that. So I see the difference in her at 21 and me at 21 is is a you know a definite ah contrast. So. That's 1 thing that I'll say it just like you know coming from the south side of Chicago and having to take the the bus at you know, Eight nine years old by yourself or get on the l you know you learn a lot about people really quickly like way away from things and recognize things where um.
23:50.74
noblemen
E.
23:59.53
noblemen
Right? right.
24:07.82
Yvette Kendall
So when you get older, you go like you know I've seen that before so just kind of yeah I would say that.
24:11.22
noblemen
Right? That's awesome. You know so you that you know I always say you know on this show that a huge part of this show. You know is about positive when Mindsets about being resilient and demonstrated mental toughness and learning to face adversity to all. Wow.
24:23.87
Yvette Kendall
Um, disease.
24:30.84
noblemen
Continuing to lead and live and win and help others fulfill their dreams and so you truly bring you know we we truly bring guests on this show that that embodies what that is all about and you my friends certainly embody what this show is all about.
24:33.15
Yvette Kendall
Um, yeah, yeah.
24:49.50
Yvette Kendall
Um, ah thank you so much.
24:50.66
noblemen
Absolutely so you bad listen you know this is the part of the segment that we call a hot seat. Um, where we he a few random hot topics about yourself and that we found helpful to our artists that often want to know from our ah from our guest. So you know my first question would be to you.
24:54.21
Yvette Kendall
Um, oh.
25:08.47
noblemen
If you could turn back to time and talk to that 18 year old self. What would you say to her.
25:13.85
Yvette Kendall
Um, ah oh my gosh I would I would tell her to travel globally meet people from all walks of life and thrones and faith and.
25:24.93
noblemen
Yeah, that's awesome.
25:31.36
Yvette Kendall
Pay attention. Take notes take advice. Ah but go beyond what you see every day. Ah so you can see what the world has to offer a lot of people don't leave their block A lot of people don't leave their town. A lot of people.
25:43.80
noblemen
Right.
25:51.30
Yvette Kendall
You know? So when you say things they'll go hey well black people. Don't do this black but well you know? yes we do you just haven't left seventy ninth street you know it's like so yeah I would tell her stop what you're doing graduate travel see the world.
25:53.48
noblemen
Right.
26:10.20
Yvette Kendall
And and become a worldly person and not as a national person.
26:15.45
noblemen
Yeah, yes that that's truly a good one I do believe that you know once people get outside the zip codes or they comfort zones I would say um, they really discover that there's um. There's a whole another world that opens up to them and and it changes your travel um will will definitely change your perspective you know, even um, you know myself you know today you know the more I travel I get the opportunity to travel engage people in different environments. Um, it. It changes your perspective. That's awesome. That's a good one. so so so what what would you say y that that some people Misunderstand about event.
26:48.23
Yvette Kendall
Yes.
27:02.37
Yvette Kendall
Ah, people think I am mean and aggressive. But thank you and I'll I'll tell you what that where it come what that comes from when people cannot get you to do what they want you to do.
27:05.78
noblemen
Is that right.
27:15.95
noblemen
Right? Or I I.
27:19.71
Yvette Kendall
You are aggressive. You are. You're faulty in some way shape or form if you constantly said yes and you gave in you would be the best person that they know so I let people know that my life is not about them. My life is about me and. Despite what you got planned and what you want for me and what you want me to do want me to go I don't have to be nobody I don't want to be so I think people Misunderstand my directness and my ah ability to tell you what you're not going to do.
27:43.79
noblemen
Right.
27:55.36
Yvette Kendall
As something does not afford it to everybody. So.
28:01.13
noblemen
That's wonderful. So so what would you say has been your greatest personal achievement.
28:08.48
Yvette Kendall
My greatest personal achievement. Um as a career wise I mean I'm obligated to say my daughter if you want to say that but beyond my daughter ah career wise it has been. Ah.
28:15.32
noblemen
M.
28:25.42
Yvette Kendall
Allowing ah allowing god to speak to me and then dared to do the things that he ah is allowing me to do and not being afraid of doing them. You know again I went from. Not writing anything to writing a book that ah some people say needs to be paired with the bible and I for some people for for them to say that what it is my first works ever that is so um, you know that is so prolific to them. Um.
28:44.53
noblemen
Wow.
28:51.29
noblemen
Right. Right? right.
28:59.75
Yvette Kendall
And those are their words not mine I just wrote my novel this past to do a god but um, that to me and then finding out that I went from I want to write something to living in I am a writer um I wrote something today.
29:18.68
Yvette Kendall
On Facebook and it says writing books tv series and movies is such a delicate thing. It's all about balance being certain to open and close the circle of ideas that's powering your stories. Hopefully. You will be blessed to speak to the majority of your audience and have the creativity to induce more who are not also be inclusive in a way that's not pandering and trendy authenticity should be what anchors.
29:51.77
noblemen
Amen.
29:55.36
Yvette Kendall
Your universe for me is about exploring what has been overlooked in a fantastic way is about making something that's remarkable. So that's kind of what I'm doing. It's like I want something to be intrinsic I want something.
30:15.00
noblemen
Um.
30:16.21
Yvette Kendall
Ah, you know a lineage to move on and on and on so I'm not just writing ah for fun. It has to be it has to mean something.
30:26.76
noblemen
All right? Absolutely absolutely. That's wonderful. So so what would you say your biggest failure and what did you learn from it.
30:38.92
Yvette Kendall
Oh my biggest failure. Oh goodness. Um.
30:48.44
Yvette Kendall
Oh Gosh I don't feel a lot. Ah you know what? my you know, um, unanswered and unspoken expectations is my biggest failure. Ah, whether that be in a relationship whether that be with a job whether it be with you know,? whatever if you have expectations of something or someone else and you don't communicate them. You're setting your situation up for Failure. So.
31:05.58
noblemen
Um, yeah.
31:14.54
noblemen
Right? Yeah, absolutely.
31:22.28
Yvette Kendall
I I have learned that when I am in a situation to express what I want and find out if that person place or thing even has the capacity to provide that.
31:31.11
noblemen
Ah.
31:38.54
noblemen
Right.
31:41.89
Yvette Kendall
And that way you're not setting yourself up for failure and you're not ah losing a relationship that could have been something that even if it wasn't going to be what you intended It could still be.
31:53.83
noblemen
Right? Absolutely absolutely And as you said, um, that that could be applied to you know every area of our life if you will whether it's relationships whether that's business or what have you.
32:09.40
Yvette Kendall
Um, and.
32:10.61
noblemen
Um, you said a couple key things - capacity and expectation. Um, you know I just believe that um performance is a direct link to expectations.
32:13.94
Yvette Kendall
Yes.
32:24.22
Yvette Kendall
With it.
32:27.94
noblemen
And and if they're known from the beginning I mean that's sort of the expectation management before you have to manage expectations or realize as you said um, are you in a space or place that has no capacity for what you're seeking. Yeah.
32:43.45
Yvette Kendall
Right.
32:46.80
noblemen
That's Wonderful. So So my my next question would ask you E that is what what makes you feel sort of inspired or like um like your best self. What? what? what is that? What is that place or space that you go to that really gets you inspired. Ah, you feel like you're at your best.
33:09.71
Yvette Kendall
Ah I have started a um, a system of self-care and and and and it doesn't it doesn't look like the way it sounds like you know when women say self-care. Oh I'm going to get a massage I'm going to get my hair done is is not that. My self-care is my living space and and being able to listen to whatever music and and not see anyone if I don't want to see them not talk if I don't want to talk and if I want something that I believe I want to. Eat is is about is about saying yes to me so I bought a home last year and my room is um, decorated like a art museum like I have um, Klimt. And Monet and boskyat paintings I mean it's their every war and um I come in my room I close my door I turn on my himiddifier I have my shows I watch or I play music and um.
34:05.26
noblemen
Um.
34:20.42
Yvette Kendall
I absorb the art of life and I feel like a different person I wake up at at four or five o'clock in the morning I start writing I you know couples after hours after that I'll take a a bubble bath.
34:22.50
noblemen
And.
34:32.10
noblemen
I know.
34:39.72
Yvette Kendall
Get out the bubble bath. Get back to writing open the window give fresh air. You know is whatever peace looks like to you my just look artistic and I started to give into that I used to go Oh well I'm gonna spend all this money on a painting I could be you know.
34:46.78
noblemen
For right right.
34:57.97
noblemen
Pray.
34:58.69
Yvette Kendall
Buying a vacuum you know, but that vacuum is not giving me life. So I started to give in to what feeds my soul and I just feel like a different I feel like a different person and it has changed the what you know what? I write the way I write. Ah, the way I communicate it has to be from a space of Self-love and that's what I do now.
35:27.96
noblemen
Well, that's wonderful y event wonderful things to live by as well. So you've had before we go talk to us about um, a bit more about, Um, you know those interested in. How to connect with you those looking to purchase your book or just connect with you on on social media.
35:44.69

Yvette Kendall

Yvette Kendall
Thank you.
